Principal's Message

November 2015
Dear Kindergarten Parents:

It doesn’t seem possible that the end of the first grading period is here! Our student’s have shown so much growth since the start of the year with regards to knowing the school routine. Teachers have had an opportunity to get to know where the students are academically and things they are interested in.

Parents often ask what they can do to help them at home. The biggest help you can give us is to check your student’s backpack every night and talk to them about how their day went and what they learned that day. Reading with your child every night reinforces to them that reading is important and makes them want to learn to do it on their own. Sneak in number practice by having them help count things around the house.

It truly does take a village to raise a child and we’re happy to be in this learning village with you! Enjoy the beautiful fall weather and foliage because the holidays and winter are fast approaching!
