Students are not permitted inside the building before 7:55 am. There is no one on duty before this time to supervise your child.

ARRIVAL - Students get their breakfast as they enter the building and go to their classroom.

8:20 am bell - the start of the day - If your student comes in at 8:20 am or after they will be counted tardy. A parent or guardian must come into the office to sign them in. Please make sure your clocks are in sync with ours.

DISMISSAL - 2:30 pm dismissal bell - buses and daycare vehicles are in the back of the building.

Car riders - you must get into the car pickup line. This line forms at the front of the building, wraps around the parking lot and continues onto Brixham Rd, across the street from our entrance. Please remain in your vehicle with patience as we have a system that will get your child to you as quickly and safely as possible. As you pull in front of the building - a staff member will put your child in the vehicle.

BUZZ INTO SCHOOL

A buzzer security system has been installed at West Franklin Elementary. Our front doors will continue to be locked once students have safely entered the building in the morning until time to exit the building at the end of the school day. For the safety of our students, visitors to our school must push a buzzer at the security door and identify themselves before being admitted into the building. We do ID anyone that is signing a student out of the building, visiting a student, etc. We only release students to their guardian unless otherwise instructed by their guardian. The Green Emergency Medical card lists only the people the guardian chooses IN CASE OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY AND THE GUARDIAN CANNOT BE REACHED-NOT FOR GENERAL PICKUPS FROM SCHOOL.
