Need a Chromebook or Wifi

• Our buildings are making every effort to get Chromebooks and Internet HotSpots into the hands of students who need these tools. If your student is in need of a borrowed device or temporary Internet HotSpot to use for remote learning and you have not been able to secure one, please contact the school’s attendance line, 614-801-8401, at your child’s school and leave your name, your child's name, grade, a call-back number, and whether you need a device or HotSpot. Someone will contact you with a time and location to pick up a Chromebook and/or HotSpot. Please know that the temporary HotSpots are in short supply, but we will try our best to meet your needs starting with high school students.

• Please remember that the devices on loan from the district have limited filtering capabilities while students are working remotely. While the district acceptable use policy (Board Policy 7540.03) and bullying, harassment and intimidation policy (Board Policy 5517.01) remain in full effect, we are counting on caregivers to help monitor the use, search activity, and social interactions in which students engage through these devices.

Problems with a Chromebook

• We will follow this same process for any borrowed Chromebook that has technical difficulties (device breaks, needs repair, or needs to be replaced) or you can email chromebookhelp@swcsd.us or call (614) 801-3014.

Infinite Campus

Infinite Campus (IC) is the District’s Internet-based student information system. Important features of IC are the Parent Portal and NEW Mobile App. Through the IC tools parents are able to access their child’s information, such as class schedules, attendance, academic reports, transportation information, coursework, and put funds in their child’s food service account online. Parents can also designate how and where they wish to receive emergency communications, attendance calls, general announcement messages, and e-mail messages from teachers, the school, and the school district.
